Masks- We all wear them. There is the hello, I am fine mask, (even when you’re not), there’s the contemplative, let me consider this mask, (even though you know you won’t), the interested-we are on the same page mask, (even though you haven’t the slightest clue what you are hearing).
The masks we wear are as numerous and varied as the individuals sporting them.
They come in handy to hide or protect our innermost selves, as well as keeping others at bay.
They serve a purpose but can sometimes be a hinderance to authenticity.
I advocate learning your core beliefs, speaking your truth and owning your mistakes.
It’s never easy, but once these three systems fall into place, the need for masks will fall away, leading to a more authentic you.
What masks are you ready to put down?
